Philosophy professor thinks there are no logical fallacies in any Neo-Darwinian literature

I recently contacted a Philosophy professor to discuss logical fallacies I came across in my readings of evolution. He was quick to tell me there are no logical errors associated with Darwinian evolution. In fact he enlightened me that over 90% of all biologists agree with Darwin’s theory of evolution. Right out of the box that is an argument from authority. He went on to inform me that the science of Darwinism is essentially beyond reproach, however he can offer no mechanism other than random mutations leading to astronomical complexity-something we know does not happen in our world. After processing his arguments, it was quite obvious that this professor is guilty of confusing a worldview with a scientific theory. But, it is my fault for thinking a university professor would be anything other than an establishment acolyte. Lesson learned.
